Our story is one of consistency, commitment, and a clear vision for growth, which has allowed us to evolve from a small team of just a few people into a company employing over 100 specialists and serving clients across Poland and beyond.

Replacement of the warehouse in Pruszków (near Warsaw) with a new one of 5,000 m².

Replacement of the warehouse in Gdynia with a new one of 12,000 m2.

Opening of warehouse in Pruszków
Opening of a warehouse in Pruszków with an area of 1,400 m2.
2012

Opening of warehouse in Gdansk
Opening of a logistics warehouse with an area of 3,800 m2 in Gdańsk in the PCL area at Baltic Hub (formerly DCT) and relocation of the office from the Free Customs Zone.
2011

Development of warehouse logistics
Terramar began the development of its warehouse logistics with the opening of its first warehouse located at the area of the Port of Gdynia, in the immediate vicinity of the BCT and GCT container terminals.
2010

Simplified procedures in Katowice
Obtaining authorization from the Director of the Customs Chamber in Katowice to use simplified procedures.

Field office in Gliwice
Opening of a field office in Gliwice.

AEO certificate
The main benefits of obtaining AEO certification include facilitations related to customs controls concerning security and safety, as well as simplifications during sustoms clearances.

We are awarded WSK (Internal Contro System) certificate
which enables us to carry out orders related to foreign trade in goods of strategic importance, including the organization of transport of military cargo.

ISO 9001-2008
The company obtained the ISO 9001:2008 certificate, confirming that it provides products and services that meet the highest quality standards.

Opening of a field office at WOC (Free Customs Zone) in Gdańsk.
1996

FIATA membership
Terramar joined the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations – Fédération Internationale des Associations de Transitaires et Assimilés (FIATA).
1993

Development of customs services
Extension of the above permits to include the provision of services as a customs agency on behalf of entities engaged in foreign trade, within the authorization granted by the Director of the Customs Office in Gdańsk.

Polish Chamber of Freight Forwarding
Terramar became a founding member of the Polish International Freight Forwarders Association (PISiL) – an organization bringing together companies from the transport, forwarding, and logistics sector.
1992

First assignment
The company’s first major challenge was the import of bananas – a full-vessel shipment that required efficient logistics within just 2–3 weeks, despite the limited port infrastructure of the 1990s.

Establishment of Customs Agency
UFrom that moment, our clients could count on comprehensive support and professional advisory services in all customs and tax matters..

Opening of a field office at the Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) - 1.08.1992.

The beginning
Founded by Stanisław Deutsch and supported by the Port of Gdynia Authority, Terramar started its activity with a team of five freight forwarders.

We are a member of FIATA
We are a member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders (FIATA) and we are authorised to issue FIATA approved transport documents. We have been also granted Certificate of Recognition by FIATA which is only sent to members who have a steady Fiata Membership for over 25 or 50 years.

We are also a founding member of Polish International Freight Forwarders Association.

We have also joined WCA – a prestigious global network of freight forwarders, agents and logistics providers.




ISO, WSK
The mission of our company, defined in our Quality Policy, is to ensure a high level of services that meet the expectations and needs of customers engaged in international trade. The standard of our services includes identifying customer needs, on-time and flawless execution of orders and continuous improvement – all of which serve as a strong recommendation for further contracts. Thanks to the commitment and creativity of our employees, we provide the highest quality of services.
A confirmation of our focus on meeting customer expectations and maintaining the highest service quality is the implementation of a quality management system and the achievement of ISO 9001:2015-10 Certification, awarded by the renowned certification body – the Polish Center for Testing and Certification S.A.(PCBC).
On July 30, 2003, we also introduced the Internal Control System (WSK), certified by the PCBC, which enables us to carry out orders related to foreign trade in goods of strategic importance, including the organization of transport of military cargo.
The development direction of our company for the coming years is the integration of port and maritime forwarding with inland forwarding, logistics, and warehousing services, along with a specialization in demanding and complex niche services.
To ensure the security of the supply chain in international trade, we invest in our own logistics warehouses, container fleet, and maintain cooperation with experienced and trustworthy service providers.




Our team
We believe that people are the most important factor in business. And our team consists of true enthusiasts and world-class experts: more than 60 professionals with extensive experience in domestic and international freight forwarding, logistics, customs law, and warehousing. Almost all of us hold the prestigious FIATA diploma, a globally recognized certification of professional competence for freight forwarders. Each of our customs agents is duly authorized and entered on the official list of customs agents maintained by the Director of the Tax Administration Chamber in Warsaw.
In addition, our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) proudly holds a certificate issued by the Director of the Transport Technical Supervision Authority (TDT). DGSA certificate confirms professional competence in the safe carriage of dangerous goods (ADR).
What is more, the Head of our Road Transport Department and his deputy have both obtained Certificates of Professional Competence in National Road Transport of Goods, further strengthening the expertise of our team.




AEO
Since April 16, 2009, Terramar Sp. z o.o. has been entitled to use the AEO Certificate (Authorised Economic Operator) in the areas of customs simplifications as well as security and safety. This status is recognized throughout the entire European Union.
The main benefits of obtaining AEO certification include facilitations related to customs controls concerning security and safety, as well as simplifications during sustoms clearances. For example, in the field of customs controls regarding security and safety, an AEO-certified company may benefit from the following advantages:
- fewer physical and document-based controls compared to other businesses,
- priority treatment in case of being selected for control,
- the right to receive advance notice when a consignment has been selected for control,
- the right to submit an Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) with a reduced set of safety and security data,
- the possibility to request that controls be carried out at a location other than the customs office.
