What documents are required for air cargo transport?
Air freight, like other forms of international transport, requires properly prepared documentation. The most important documents include:
- Air Waybill (AWB)
The primary transport document issued by the airline or its agent. It contains details of the shipper and consignee, shipment description, transport conditions and routing. - Commercial Invoice
A mandatory document confirming the value and terms of the transaction, required for customs clearance. - Packing List
A specification of the shipment contents, including quantity, dimensions, weight, and packaging method. - Certificates of quality, origin, or other attachments
