AEO certificate

Since April 16, 2009, we have been authorized to use the AEO Certificate with respect to customs simplifications as well as security and safety. This certificate is recognized throughout the European Union.

The main benefits of obtaining AEO status include facilitations related to customs controls concerning safety and security, as well as simplifications during customs clearances. For example, in the area of safety and security customs controls, a company may benefit from the following advantages:

fewer physical inspections and document checks compared to other businesses, and if selected for inspection, it is carried out on a priority basis,
the right to receive advance notice of a consignment being selected for inspection,
the right to submit an entry summary declaration with a reduced set of safety data,
the possibility to request that an inspection be conducted at a location other than the Customs Office.
